The Club

Welcome to the new Vale of Lune website  which we hope you will find interesting and easy to navigate.  The club’s aim is to ensure the pages are updated on a daily basis to keep everybody well informed and up-to-date with all the news and developments here at Powderhouse Lane.

Rugby, of course, is not the only sport played at the Vale.  The club has an extremely busy squash section, has long been associated with the John ‘O Gaunt Bowmen and works very closely with our cricketing friends across the road at Bare, Westgate and Torrisholme Cricket Clubs.   These sporting connection will be reflected in these pages as the site develops.

Elsewhere on the site are pages for news, team pages, commercial, shop  and catering sections and a special extra section for Stewart ‘Scoop’ Vernon’s rugby reports.  Feedback tells us that Scoop’s reports are popular and much sought after by readers from all over the country and, indeed, the world which is why he now has space all to himself.

We are very interested in your own views about the website and about the way the club communicates, not only to members, but to a wider audience.  So if you have something to say contact the club secretary Peter Lovett-Horn.  We are planning to establish a special e-mail facility which will be appearing on the site before too long.
