The 2 squash courts at the Vale were built in 1974.

Since that time the section has always had a good nucleus of players, from its peak in the 1980’s when there was nearly 300 members to today when the membership is approximately 100.

The squash section has qualified coaches available to provide tuition to new members, ladies and juniors.

Recently, a new floor was laid on court 2 to supplement the new floor that was laid on court 5 years ago.

A new heating system is being installed at present and should be up and running within the next 2 weeks.

The squash section has teams playing in the North West Counties Squash League.

The first and second team plays in Division 2, the third team in Division 4 and the fourth team plays in Division 5.
