Joint Directors of Rugby, Steve Swarbrick and Andy Higgin are both former Lancashire county players and assist Head Coach, Mark Sutcliffe and Fitness Coach Phil Stott in preparing the Vale senior sides. Training nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays and new players are always welcomed.

As Andy explains: “There has always been a proud playing tradition here at Vale and after the disappointment of relegation last season we are determined to bounce straight back. The players are all very committed and keen and we are all looking forward to the challenges of the new season.”

Fresh from passing out as one of Lancashire Constabulary’s newest recuits, PC Neil Bennetts is the club captain. Lee Farnworth is vice-captain.
